A 40 ft expandable container house is a single-level prefabricated dwelling with two folding side wings on a hot-dip galvanized steel frame.

It travels at 11,800 × 2,200 × 2,480 mm and expands on site to 11,800 × 6,200 × 2,480 mm, with interior height of 2,240 mm on the standard build. Partition walls, flooring, doors, windows, and electrical circuits are installed at the factory, which is what separates a delivered dwelling from a shell that still needs a building crew in your yard.
